Every House of Alkara collection begins with a journey—where places, craftsmanship, and culture quietly become the foundation of original design. Along Italy's Amalfi Coast, we found inspiration in the remarkable Cathedral of Saint Andrew, whose intricate architecture reflects centuries of artistry and enduring craftsmanship. Our journey then led us to Vietri sul Mare, the historic home of the Amalfi Coast's celebrated hand-painted majolica ceramics. Surrounded by vibrant ceramic workshops, timeless floral motifs, and luminous shades of Mediterranean blue, ivory, and sunlit gold, we began sketching what captivated us—not to recreate these historic patterns, but to understand their rhythm, elegance, and spirit. Through a series of original watercolor studies, those impressions evolved into a contemporary design language that is uniquely House of Alkara. From destination to sketch, from original artwork to finished garment, this collection celebrates the enduring beauty of Amalfi through a fresh artistic perspective. Journeys become inspiration.
